Summer Camp CITs Weeks 3-4

Bella (3/4 Group)
Bella, from Jackson Heights will be a junior at Garden this fall. As a former camper herself, she was excited to return as a CIT. Her favorite song is Bags by Clario, and you might find her enjoying a Harry Potter book while munching on Takis. Bella plays the bass, has four siblings, and is proud of her Brazilian heritage. Her favorite part of camp is interacting with the kids. 

Charlotte (5/6 Group)
Charlotte will be a first-year student at Brooklyn Tech this fall. She is from Jackson Heights and has been connected to Garden Summer Camp her whole life; in fact her grandmother was a teacher at Garden  for 30 years! Her favorite song is Killer Queen, and her favorite book is One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus. She has never broken any bones, she does not like math, but loves seltzer! Her favorite part of Garden Summer Camp is being with the kids and listening to them talk. She loves to hear what they say.

George (7-8-9 Group)
George will be a first-year student at Saint Demetrious Preparatory this fall. He lives in Astoria and enjoys playing basketball and rock collecting. George’s favorite movie is Space Jam and loves the Diary of a Wimpy Kids books. His favorite genre of music is Rap and loves snacking on Doritos and watching football live or on TV. His favorite part about Summer Camp is spending time with the kids.

Juliana (3/4 Group)
Juliana is from East Elmhurst and will be a first-year student at Monsignor McClancy this fall. Juliana was a camper herself and excited to return as a CIT. Her favorite song is Borderline by Tame Impala. She loves relaxing with a Harry Potter book while snacking on Trolli candies. She often geeks out on math and science but also loves art. Juliana is an honors student and can’t get enough of the 1980’s culture! Her favorite part of Summer Camp is the positive environment.

Lucas (10-13 Group)
Lucas splits his time between Jackson Heights and Soho. This city kid will be a junior this fall at Garden. This past year Lucas was named an official Literary Scholar by the Robert Burns Society of NYC. His favorite book is The Hobbit, and his favorite song is Sierra Leone by Kanye West. He loves to geek out on anything related to outer space. Fun fact, Lucas has met Post Malone! Encouraged to join the CIT program, he has enjoyed working alongside his Garden School teachers.

Nirvana (10-13 Group)
Nirvana comes to us from Forest Hills and will be a junior at Garden this fall. They have attended Garden School since Nursery. They love fashion, donuts, and their favorite book is The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. Jet Fuel is Nirvana’s favorite song and they totally geek out on sports! Nirvana’s favorite part about Garden Summer Camp is the diversity of students.

Sophie (7-8-9 Group)
Sophie lives in Elmhurst and will be a first-year student at Brooklyn Tech this fall. She wanted to join the CIT program because she used to be a camper and loves kids. Her favorite movie is Princess Bride, favorite snack are Cheezits and her favorite book is The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. She loves to geek out on art. She is a Scorpio and has worn glasses for three years. Sophie’s favorite part about Summer Camp is the friendly atmosphere.
