Garden School’s athletics program fosters an environment of hard work, responsibility, sportsmanship, and growth. Student-athletes begin learning team sports in physical education and 5th and 6th grade teams to prepare them for middle school, JV, and Varsity athletics. Griffins are taught to grow as a team to improve their leadership, communication, and accountability. We offer 23 Varsity, JV, Middle School and 5th/6th Athletic Teams and various 5th-8th grade intramural teams.

Garden School is a long-standing Independent School Athletic League (I.S.A.L.) member, competing against other NYSAIS schools across New York City. Our teams’ non-league schedules are filled with schools from other NYSAIS leagues, the CHSAA, PSAL, and NYSPHSAA. We believe in giving our kids as many opportunities as possible to enhance their experience.
