Garden School’s athletics program fosters an environment of hard work, responsibility, sportsmanship, and growth. Student-athletes begin learning team sports in physical education and 4th, 5th, and 6th grade intramurals to prepare them for middle school, JV, and varsity athletics. Griffins are taught to grow as a team to improve their leadership, communication, and accountability. We offer 21 Varsity, JV, and MS Athletic Teams and 8 Intramural teams. There is a no-cut policy for all our teams.

Garden School is a long-standing Independent School Athletic League (I.S.A.L.) member, competing against other NYSAIS schools across New York City. Our teams’ non-league schedules are filled with schools from other NYSAIS leagues, the CHSAA, PSAL, and NYSPHSAA. We believe in giving our kids as many opportunities as possible to enhance their experience.
