All of us at Garden School are very proud of Arianna N., Anthony P., and Merna H. for starting the Garden World Relief Club to collect donations in response to the devastation in Haiti after Hurricane Matthew.

“We were horrified to hear about the devastation that Hurricane Matthew brought to Haiti. It was the most powerful Caribbean storm in more than a decade. The World Relief Club’s mission is to give help when natural disasters strike around the world.”

On Thursday, December 1, Ronald Etienne, the Vice-Consul of Haiti, and Hans Dorlean, Consulate Press Secretary, visited Garden School and met with the students to collect many bags of supplies and the donation check.

Thank you to the Garden School community, to the students and to everyone who participated in this effort that so well exemplified Garden’s mission value of “social involvement”.
